Hello and welcome to my DEEP JOY blog.

 

The blog follows on from the very successful DEEP JOY nights held at The Red Lion pub in Shirley, Solihull, West midlands.  

 

My original idea was to create a fanzine similar to the old fanzines many of us loved from the 70s and 80s however, having finished the majority of the fanzine it sat on my laptop for months as I wasn't in the right mood to add the final touches.

 

A new year brought about a re-think and I've now decided to go with a blog instead.

The aim of the blog is to promote fresh musical talent and bring you music related news.  The blog will feature a variety of bands, artists, authors etc. that I feel are worthy of featuring.  

 

Many of the features will be underpinned by Mod values (whatever Mod means?) but it will not be exclusively Mod by any stretch of the imagination.
